U-Pick Farm: the 10 farm levels, merging, mutations and Coupons

The U-Pick Farm opens at 60 Trophies and has 10 levels, from 0 to 12,000 Farm XP. The sections below list what each level adds to the sprouts, how items and Coupons merge and what the weekly reset takes away.
How the farm works
Items sprout on the farm's tiles, Minion cards among them, and you buy them with Diamonds or Gold. Items sprout several times a day. Your sprout chances run out and restore over time, and nothing can sprout while every tile is full, so removing items you do not want makes room for new ones.
The farm resets once a week, and every item you have not bought by then disappears. Free items turn up now and then; a Coupon cannot be used on those.
Merging and mutations
Two 1★ items merge into a 2★ item, and merging goes on up to 3★, where it stops. The game says a higher ★ generally means better value, and one of its quests asks you to merge items to 3★ for that reason.
Merging two identical items keeps their type. Merging two different items gives you a random mutated item instead, which the game suggests trying on Minion cards you do not want.
Coupons
Coupons can sprout from farm level 1. Drag one onto an item for a discount. Coupons of the same ★ merge into a bigger discount: in the game's own tutorial, two 1★ Coupons make a 2★ Coupon, which then takes 20% off a Minion.
Farm levels
Buying items gives Farm XP, and so does removing them. Each level adds to what can sprout. From level 5 all eight kinds of item are in the pool, and levels 6 to 10 bring more Rare Minions, a higher chance of Epic or Legendary Minions and a higher chance of Lucky Mutations.

Sprout Rewards
Every sprout adds 1 to a progress bar. When the bar is full you open a chest and choose your reward, and that progress is never lost over time.
