Summary

You can read the whole site without an account. We do not sell data, and we keep only what the site needs to work and to stop spam.

Cookies and storage on your device

• pof_theme (cookie and local storage, 1 year): remembers dark or light mode. It holds only the word "dark" or "light".
• The language you choose is part of the page address (?lang=zh); no cookie is used for it.
• Advertising cookies from Google may be set when ads are shown; see Advertising below.

Forms you send

Feedback stores the report type, your message, the page address and the time, and your e-mail address if you choose to give one; we use that address only to reply to your message and delete it with the message. Video submissions store the YouTube link, the title, name and description you type, the category, the time, and the title and channel name that YouTube reports for that video. To check a video, our server asks YouTube whether it exists; only the video link is sent.

To stop spam, each submission is tagged with a code made from your IP address with a secret key. The code cannot be turned back into the address, and the address itself is not stored. Your browser also solves a short computing puzzle before a form is sent; it runs on your device and sends nothing else.

Submissions are kept until the owner has dealt with them; the lists are capped at 500 entries. Approved videos stay on the site until they are removed.

Server records

To limit abuse, the server counts requests per IP address in memory for up to 10 minutes; these counters are not written to disk. Failed sign-in attempts to the owner's admin area are recorded by IP address for one hour to block password guessing. The web server may keep standard access logs (IP address, time, page, browser) for a limited time for security and troubleshooting.

Third-party services

• Google Fonts: pages load their fonts from Google's servers, so Google receives your IP address and browser details. See Google Fonts privacy.
• YouTube: videos are embedded in privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com). When you play a video, YouTube's privacy policy applies.

Advertising

This site may use Google AdSense to show ads.

• Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites.
• Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
• You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info or, in Europe, youronlinechoices.eu.
• How Google uses information from sites that use its services: policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
• Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland are asked for consent through a Google-certified consent message before personalised ads are shown, and can change their choice at any time from that message.

Children

The site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Your rights

You can ask us to delete something you sent (for example a feedback message or a video) or ask what we hold about a submission. Use the Contact page and describe the submission (page, time, video link) so we can find it, because we do not know who sent it unless you left an e-mail address.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version is published on this page with a new date.
